Argentina To Antarctica
Arrival – To travel from Argentina To Antarctica, Plan to arrive in Ushuaia, Argentina (USH) the day before the expedition starts at the very latest. Three to four hours are necessary between flights to have time to transfer with your baggage from the international airport (EZE) to the domestic airport (AEP). Manuel Tienda Leon bus company provides hourly bus transfers for around US$20. Both morning and afternoon flights are available from AEP to USH. There is also a morning flight from EZE to USH. Also, LAN offers flights to Ushuaia via Santiago, Chile (SCL). There are no airport transfers required in Santiago. The most convenient international flight routes tend to be through Buenos Aires, Argentina or Santiago, Chile.
Departure – We strongly recommend adding at least an extra day of buffer prior to departing Ushuaia. There are daily flights leaving Ushuaia by early afternoon for Buenos Aires (or other intermediate stops such as Santiago), with connections to evening flights homeward.
